Parking and Driving Regulations
Welcome to The Meadows at Rexburg! To keep our community looking its best and running smoothly, the HOA Board manages our shared spaces in accordance with the community CC&Rs. This includes overseeing parking throughout the subdivision’s common property. Whether you are a resident or just visiting, please follow the parking guidelines below. We enforce these rules consistently to ensure fair access and safety for every member of our community.
PARKING RULES
To maintain the safety, accessibility, and aesthetic standards of the community, the following regulation defines the types of vehicles permitted to park within designated stalls at The Meadows at Rexburg:
Definition of Permitted Vehicles: Only Standard Passenger Vehicles may be parked in assigned or common stalls. A standard passenger vehicle is defined as a motor vehicle designed primarily for the transport of persons, with a seating capacity of no more than nine (9) individuals and a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 10,000 lbs. This includes:
- Sedans, Coupes, and Hatchbacks.
- Standard-sized SUVs and Minivans.
- Light-duty pickup trucks used for personal transport.
Stall Requirements: All vehicles must fit entirely within the painted lines of a single numbered stall. No portion of the vehicle, including bumpers, hitches, or mirrors, may extend into the driving lane or obstruct the safe flow of traffic.
Quantity Limits: As granted by the CC&Rs, each unit is restricted to a maximum of two (2) vehicles on the property at any time.
Two-Wheeled Vehicles: Motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds are permitted but must be parked parallel to the curb within the owner’s designated stall.
Prohibited Vehicles: The following are strictly prohibited from parking in common or assigned stalls:
- Commercial vehicles (including those with heavy equipment, transport trailers or ladders).
- Heavy machinery or equipment is expressly forbidden from being brought onto the property except for contracted work that has been approved by the HOA.
- Recreational vehicles (RVs), boats, campers, and trailers.
- Any vehicle exceeding the GVWR of 10,000 lbs.
All vehicles on the property must be in good operating condition. Repair work and other preventive maintenance may not be done on the property. The only exceptions to this are jump starts and changing flat tires. All other repairs are prohibited, and inoperable vehicles must be towed from the property. All vehicles must be properly licensed and insured.
Exceptions: Exceptions for public service vehicles or temporary guest parking must be requested in writing and receive explicit Board approval prior to the vehicle arriving on the property.
Visitors: All visitors who stay on property overnight or for an extended period of time must have an HOA Temporary Visitor Permit. This permit is valid for 72 hours. (see details on the Parking Permit page) This must be printed and placed on the dashboard of the visiting vehicle. Unit owners are responsible for the conduct and parking of their guests. If a guest violates parking rules, the unit owner will be held accountable for any resulting penalties.
Designated Parking Areas
Authorized Stalls: Parking is strictly permitted only within designated, painted stalls. Parking on sidewalks, grass, landscaped or planter areas, or any other areas marked "No Parking" is prohibited.
Resident Parking: Residents must park exclusively in their assigned, numbered stalls and must clearly display a valid resident parking permit at all times.
Visitor Parking: Visitors are required to park in non-numbered stalls.
Overnight Visitor Restrictions: Visitor parking is prohibited between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. For guests requiring parking during these hours, unit owners are responsible for obtaining a Temporary Visitor Parking Pass that includes tall information requested for this permit. Failure to display a valid pass may result in the vehicle being booted or towed. The Meadows at Rexburg shall not be held liable for any costs or damages associated with the enforcement of these rules.
Parking is not permitted on sidewalks, grass, landscaped/planter areas or any other areas signed NO PARKING.
